1994: Gordon wins inaugural Brickyard 400

Jeff Gordon’s second career win turned out to be one of the most memorable of his career. In NASCAR’s first race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Hendrick Motorsports driver led 93 laps and won the inaugural Brickyard 400. The 1994 event was especially significant for Gordon, who grew up in Pittsboro, Ind., dreaming of racing at the historic track.
