2011: Earnhardt and Gordon earn Daytona 500 front row

Hendrick Motorsports teammates Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jeff Gordon qualified first and second for the 2011 Daytona 500, giving owner Rick Hendrick the front row for NASCAR’s biggest race. Earnhardt’s performance kicked off a season that saw Hendrick Motorsports sweep all four pole positions at restrictor-plate events.
