Mark Martin

Mark Martin returned to NASCAR Sprint Cup racing fulltime in 2009, when he earned a career-best seven pole positions and five victories driving the No. 5 Chevrolet. He finished the season ranked second in the standings, which gave Hendrick Motorsports its first one-two-three result in the championship hunt. Jimmie Johnson won the 2009 title, Martin finished second and Jeff Gordon was third. In three Cup seasons with Hendrick, Martin earned five wins, 23 top-five finishes, 42 top-10s and 10 pole positions, including his 50th career pole in July 2011 at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway.
