Geoffrey Bodine

Geoffrey Bodine was the first driver for Hendrick Motorsports when it began operations in 1984 under the banner All-Star Racing. The Chemung, N.Y., native reached Victory Lane for the first time for the fledgling organization, winning at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway on April 29, 1984, in the team’s eighth race. In six seasons with Hendrick, Bodine won seven races, including the 1986 Daytona 500 – the first for him and the organization.
