Gary DeHart

Championship-winning crew chief Gary DeHart played a pivotal role in helping Hendrick Motorsports transition into building its own chassis in the early 1990s. He was the crew chief with Ricky Rudd in 1992, when Rudd earned the first victory in a Hendrick Motorsports chassis, and was atop the pit box four years later when Terry Labonte claimed the 1996 NASCAR Sprint Cup title. DeHart earned 10 wins, 63 top-five finishes, 105 top-10s and six pole positions as a Hendrick Motorsports crew chief.
